  • Great for social drinks. Sat indoors on a Saturday evening which was set up well for social distancing. There was a good drinks selection, and food quality. Efficient and friendly staff and service.

  • This spacious downtown gastropub oozes unpretentious sophistication, from the candle-lit minimalism of the decor to the chilled Sunday jazz DJ sets. Food is also a big deal here. You'll find classic pub grub brilliantly reinvented with locally sourced and organic ingredients whenever possible.

  • Service was so welcoming and friendly and we were very confident in all of the safety measures put in place. The decor is very classy and relaxing with beautiful flowers adding to the atmosphere. All of us loved the food and felt that even without the Tories subsidising it is great value for outstanding British food. Make sure you book as this pub is so popular and deservedly so- just go!

  • Lovely sunday lunch. Popped in for a roast after shopping in town, lovely experience and food was Delicious! Thinking of going back this weekend :)

  • Well it's great to get back in the Spotted Cow with their gorgeous Sunday lunch. The pork belly was stunning and the gravy was to die for! Great food, super friendly service and felt very comfortable in these strange times.

  • Some gastropubs are, truth to tell, wannabe restaurants that feel fairly uncomfortable places to pop in to for a pint. Other places are cheerfully unpromising pubs that provide amazing food.
